Jedidiah

Jedidiah

A barren land so dry
For its Children it did cry
Derelict destroyed but not forgot
One People only wanted this lot

Trampled without respite
Rome then Albion acted with spite
Battered and burnt the Children were stronger
They rose to fight engulfed by danger

Enemies front to back
Outnumbered they went on the attack
Declaration of David’s kingdom
The Children prevailed in freedom

False sympathy in reality earned guilt
The Nation’s except one turned against
Anguish within courage required
Peace for David’s City desired
