Joshua’s Sun
Do you swim in memories of
the past?
Has destiny dashed what
you thought would last?
Getting older makes it
clear from day one
Rising sadness for those
gone
Remember the past is
reality’s seal
When is the future, for
only today is real?
Do you hate Einstein for
delivering the message?
Do you love him for
discovering your relative time’s visage?
Claim future to be a
paradox for now only exists
So much is done for
tomorrow ignoring doubting pessimists
What would do and say if
you knew time would end?
Hug your loves, kiss your
love and pretend?
Destiny that wicked
unknown moves silently alone
Picks the time to test
your ropes and drop you like that stone
Look back at yourself
you’ll remember all
Stand by yourself with
love, so time will stand still and you tall
