Clutching At Air

Clutching At Air

Sadness makes me dwell in the Land of Helplessness
For I hear cries of need and loneliness
And I’m powerless
Neither prayer nor goodness makes any difference

To understand the world free of uncertainty
There’s a division by two that contradicts certainly
Either by faith or reason regardless of villainy
For each by the other’s viewed as tyranny

To synergize these two is an exercise in dishonesty
But it was done and undermined them both effectively
So the doldrums buffet me in this mood of melancholy
Do I scream in terror when it seems there’s nothing out there?

A floor that can’t be seen is the demon of nihilism beckoning
Selection of suffering or ending is the offerings
Courage in one, weakness in the other
No bedrock is an evil and death no solution either
