Inkling

Inkling

Oh the ideal summer, the insane may say perfect
Everything in its order and the sunshine in your pocket
Yet a heart is lonely until love shines
You feel a presence and look around at the girl who smiles

This always raises a laugh
To see clear eyes and a beautiful smile and have mirth
Even if a bee stings at that moment
It’s pain that’s irrelevant because time stands still

Life’s supposed to be about beauty and love
Suffering, loneliness and sadness are without merit
So take her outstretched hand and let her lead you to her land
Soft, warm and loving’s the sound of her merry band

Feeling the way a cat does when he get’s the cream
Your motor purring and you sing in love’s dream
Never mind eloquence or the awkward dance
She’s chosen you to be her reason that season
