Frailty
I see
thru’ themes, sometimes like dreams
When
treading thru’ the streets I hear screams
The sound
is mine inside my head
Outside
of the witnessed normality that I’ve dread
The scene
is mortality that wishes everyone dead
One day
the reality regardless of homestead
Yet we
fight and strive never to concede
The human
mission to breed and pretend that we succeed
Hear the
crying, praying and pleading
For that
soulful blessing at the end of the reading
In
between the breaths taken reality strikes
Sounds of
beatings, whippings and gunshots at night
Darkness
always hides the jagged edges
Imagination
is humanity’s night protecting from the light
So we can
smile and see the new day as Genesis
Then
turning the corner witness the disappearing car of the coroner
