Cast Out

Cast Out

Turned backs mean you walk the plank
The look in your eye or the face seen as blank
Superficial embrace is the fool you once
Time shows that the next one is an insincere dance

For between time is reality where there’s no pretence
Lying acts of emotion revealed not by chance
Never can your metaphysical stance be shifted
So fear is their reaction as you’re condemned and griftered

You’re not alone for stray cats always stay and atone
Punished for what they’ve never done
Justice they know is unemotional and never a merciful mistress
Yet fear is not known for only the guilty seek forgiveness

It means nothing, for the cast out has scars of life
Cold is the long time companion of strife
Tough is that soul of self-made Identity
Hatred for forced sympathy, empathy and pity
