Wednesday
and the Devil
I live in
the dimensional hell of Wednesday
Child of
the Addams Family cell that cries perpetually
But there
are no tears, just the heartache for reality
Born to
be unloved, carrying the burden of life’s clarity
Wednesday
sees no frill as the chill corners chafe
Why must
I always see the dripping into sadness’s carafe?
Other’s
walk oblivious and easily embrace love
She
turn’s her back as I strive
Evil is
the curse of the lonesome tide
Embracing
Wednesday with the dark kiss, we ride
Yet I
smile and laugh with the Devil at my side
At odds,
She finds her will from my strength, woe betide
Do I turn
left or right, always that decision during night
She
clasps at my soul knowing I’ll never be Her Knight
But the
dark is my time and the moon Our sun
We move
easily thru’ the hours, Wednesday and the Devil as One
