I Found Me

I Found Me

Dissatisfaction silently attaches
An emotion that clutches
No application sent
Merely a feeling that pays no rent

Mercury is my shadow
Pushing and pulling to high and low
Planet, substance and eloquence
How funny my birth sign and god of poetry

King David, Jedidia and harp
All three his make-up
Me, Jedidia and guitar
She laughs at this triangular jar

It’s enough to wonder about inevitability
That we’re set and merely have to discover our journey
Is that life’s destiny?
To find oneself is to be damn lucky
