Scratches

Scratches

The truth doesn’t always set you free
That’s a lie the devil whispers sitting in the tree
Important is where you find yourself to be
So not absolute to any degree

Yet truth’s an absolute because it’s reason’s hornet
It’ll sting if you try to be irrationally bent
For dreams are always comfortable and far from reality
Follows is disappointment, that contemptuous emotionality

Dichotomy of a lie helping your reality
For ignoring reality is rank stupidity
Emotions are merely followers of your mind
You can’t escape the consequences of ignoring reality’s bind

Do you get this conundrum that defies the angels?
Makes scouts’ honor into many angles
But we have to deal with life, clambering among thorns
Navigate with finesse so you’re not entangled in a mess
