Fight

Fight

When you’re one they’ve picked on
Then with all your might defend strong
What do they see, you like a neon light blazing in the night?
Their weakness they know, so they aim at the light

You’re the side of town nobody comes from
Where streets are the playground and pool is not for fun
They know you as if they detect you
Target those without and, blamed for theft they know about

From small you’ve learned the hits from life
Eyes aware, you see in the dark
Anticipate the shadows which move like sharks
Their bites are mean and your side is lean, always lean

You don’t strike them because you’re tempered like steel
Always you’ll remember the chasm they cut
Always stand on the side that is without
Always be your own drum, you know they’re humdrum
