Gone

Gone

Greeted the world in the City of Gold
Childhood so sweet was never cold
Up the Brow down the Hill
So trendy friendly sexy a thrill

Virginity gone at an early age
Alluring ladies from the stage
Late night snooker always played
Avoid those who dealt to trade

Nation shifted from blonde
Upheaval meant no bond
Losing the tie no tears from eyes
Fractured dysfunctional blood ties

Look in the mirror facing back
No picture no mirage along the track
Suspended emotions frozen attitude
All that is left are platitudes
