Heartache Lane

Heartache Lane

When your heart drags on the floor
There’s no existential meaning anymore
Emotions of sorrow is the pain
You walk down evils’ Heartache Lane

Sadness has that suffocating grip
Looking and pushing your soul to make you trip
Faith destroyed following silence from prayer
Inanimate infinity, reality’s punch and slayer

Questions in your mind that hurt and grind
Answers deep down, the failure of your mind
Separated at birth from humanity’s line
Accident of nature or, by fiendish deliberate design?

Don’t dry those chronic tears invisible to most
They’re the signal sadness’s undertaker roasts
Until that day of love’s redemption
Carry them with gentleness until the kiss of resurrection
