Cracked
Trained by hurt, fear is
the rise of happiness
The captor called
destructiveness twists sadness
Pleasure in the pain from
heartbroken affliction
Desire to be soothed
cracked by the dread of resolution
Desolation through
isolation from love bakes in depression
Despair, that nihilistic
ogre with an air, grips without compassion
Evil love, the evidence of
extorted infatuation is exact
Undesired self-immolation
manifests in the physical act
Self-pity is the enemy of
my Liberty
Gives me false comfort until
self-disgust brings clouds of melancholy
Impact of the cracked,
divides my soul until emotions scream
Lost in this world where self-hatred
is the dream
I can’t run or hide
because this tide is in my mind
So suffer and exist
looking for the light I might never find
Grudging reflection that
optimism is not extinct
That light fights destructiveness’s
district
