Divinity’s Delinquency
When life chides, it’s the
ocean tides
You’ll be swept up and
thrown and hit by all sides
It’s always easy when life
smiles in the sun
But when time turns to
move against you, it weighs a ton
Where do enduring come
from, this squall?
When you have nowhere to
turn and nobody to call
Mystery of life wrapped up
in the abundance of strife
Years of sadness so deep,
for so many, cuts like a knife
Often, when the walls
close in, the emotional suffocation begins
The cry into the air, that
nobody can hear, and all around is grim
It’s the destiny of
decisions, the mark from your mind, emptiness
Then the cry from
desperation to heaven, to find, nothingness
Punishment undeserved,
placed on an island in the middle of people
Do what you may to be
observed or heard, you’re cursed, invisible
This sentence of a
castaway where you are you’re only dependency
Your back open, your standing flimsy – this is
divinity’s delinquency
