Emptiness
My soul is but a shell
Nothing resonates within
this hell
Bereft of warm embrace
Cold fingers clutch but
leave no trace
Time without meaning moves
Clock on the wall proves
Emptiness alas sucks away
essence
Dark depths of dissonance
Mind then emotions
conflict
Cracked shell nothing
didactic
Frozen reach so silent
scream
Suffer the damned unable
to dream
No awakening is the view
Emotional gutter is the
pew
Resist remember I am human
too
Vestige of self esteem shining
through
