Desolate

Desolate

The lonely soul walks in this world
Within reach but invisible if the truth is told
Filled with love but unable to reach out
Longing for warmth with cold the constant lout

Drowning in a desert constantly storm blown
The shout to connect is a mirage well known
Devastating desolation is a silent scream
But loud in lonely ears with love as the dream

Endurance with strength the emotional bridge
Built then used each night to stop flying the ridge
Desolate world for a sensitive being
Feels the unintentional pain triggered by seeing

But brave open eyes nourishing hope so not rejected
If God exists then this is evilly inflicted
Prayer so long no point on deaf ears
Question of Why the suffering these years
