The
Spiteful
When
antagonism’s laser burns, cry from hurt is acid
Feel the
shredding of your heart, yearn for antacid
But
humanity is cold and hardened to cries when you have no gold
Sacrificial
smiles will extract an exacting price, Holden’s human lice of old
They
always try to assassinate justice, for what they feel frustrates
So tear
down the innocent and suck out their innocence to subjugate
Disguises
abound, worn by the sacrificial human hounds
Sweetness
and smiles, anger hidden, are the weapons used to pound
Their net
is cast and the innocent become a tangled caste
For the
corrosive touch of the spiteful hardens like a cast
Their
trick would make an injured dove blush
Surround
you with flattery and warmth, then gently pounce
Once
these tricksters of emotion have had their fill, then cold indifference
Guilt
will engulf your innocence and hurt shock is their pretence
Vanity
and conceit is their evilness, sociopaths with veneers of vulnerability
When
realization arrives, break free for that is the key to recovery
