Ugly Phoenix
Try and
push the horror of evil from my mind
Two
little ones burn their toddler sister to a cinder
No force
of good or evil just humanity’s anvil
The
mother that tortured her daughter to death
Savages
that make wild animals cringe in terror
Reason
and instinct is no contest and no error
Inhumanity
and then the terrible unearned guilt
Teaching
that just being born is a sinful act
Prey on
the vulnerable and twist their innocence to guilt
So hurt
me and I deserve it becomes a quilt
Slowly, slowly
as the brutes strike women the mind wilts
Then the
ugly phoenix of not minding and returning to the pits
Great
evil when the victim is consumed by the demon
Be
strong, rather be alone and fighting than surrender your reason
No
protection for the defenseless from the greed of sacrifice
Despicable
is weakness, the emotion from humanity’s hopeless chalice
