The fear that resides deep in the psyche side

That all we’ve been told isn’t correct at all

Fear in the adults’ faces as their ground turns to quick sand

In an instant of truth, disclosure that Man’s uniqueness is a myth

Once believed that earth was the center

Then horror struck that the universe expands at a cosmic canter

Galaxies abound and planets in the millions surround

Man’s arrogance and that deflating sibilant sound

Its realization, when the most trusted of organizations admit

Earth’s visited by those to whom we’re mired in an ignorant pit

Tell the pilots who witnessed that their minds deceive

That what flew for all to see and hovered out at sea’s their deceit

But reality frightens, so better to hide and keep the pretence

Alas, politicians blamed actually reflect their voters’ insouciance

But at last, a light shines that was once cloaked

Alas, Mankind’s mind’s still in superstition and religion soaked
