Unconscious
Comfort
To sleep
is to miss the night
Sweet
dreams merely the good side of nightmare
Darkness
so stark declares the truth
Silence
cannot disguise being aware
In the
coolness of night meet the best
Strange
minds that do not clash
Peaceful
world dressed in black
Glittering,
strutting, electricity cracks
Resist
the drug of unconscious comfort
Surrendering
denies the taste of life’s bitterness
Relative
to your mood is sleep
Deny that
to enjoy heightened temper
Stifle
the yawn which portends dawn
Perhaps,
just maybe, the light will forestall
Fat
chance to stop that baby
Smiling,
shining brightly it arrives – NOW surrender!
