To The
Day
Four
years ago to the day I left the wonderful Land
A Land I
love and ideally triumphs for what I stand
Individualism,
reason, liberty – all the hallmarks of capitalism
Without
this Land, named the United
States, there’d be no freedom
If I could
live in both places at once, that would be supreme
But this
world is reality and it’s an irrational dream
Choices
must always be made and the doing only counts
So I
moved when it was time from the City of New
York to Carmel Mount
Different
language, mores and climate that hardly pours
This
English-speaking Westerner to the Mediterranean shore
Israel a country different where
everything moves opposite
I will
not change but now I learn an alternative composite
I have
touched different corners of the world
And
nowhere actually feels like home
In
everything there is a price to be paid
Important
is the soul that’s been made
