Under Sky
Arrogance
and conceit’s such a human trait
There’s
this constant beat about being special or unique
The only
ones, the chosen ones, the derisive speak
Too many
believe theirs is the truth, the pique!
Ignored
is behavior and the mountain of skulls without a peak
Wretched
humanity where destruction’s the trick
For the
irrational beast walks around safe and yawns
Bodies
became numbers and abortions the norm
The
ultimate’s that we’re in this universe, alone
Galaxies
galore, billions of stars with exoplanets by the score
Can alone
or unique be a serious think?
Ignorance
rather than anything else and how tasty the Kool-Aid drink
Told so
by those we trust along with the tale of the Rye
Our minds
breed comfort and we’re snug if we cry
But
reality doesn’t accept emotion. notion or lie
It forces
us to look up to the night sky and admit we can’t deny
