Wilderness
Do I
resist or find my faith in this life’s mist?
Reason
and faith that colliding earthly twist
Questions
asked and answers discovered in confusion
Emotions
torn and I’m forlorn
I look
around at the crowd as it bustles for the holidays shop
I’m the
invisible sadness, here but not seen because forgot
Is this
wretched self-pity that forces itself on top?
You see
the dichotomy of hopeful faith and hopeless emotion?
Again,
sometimes confusion and then persistent frustration
Physical
feels that raise optimism for a momentary smile
A
reasoned thought that realizes reality has no favored morality
My long
sigh as I see both sides of humanity’s nature fractured viscerally
So cry in
my arms and let me kiss you with sweet dreams
That’s
all you’ll have, for true happiness can never be the round circle
Your
savior regardless of faith or reason is the one that loves your soul
For some
like me that’s an improbable goal
