Why? ‘Twas Time
270 degrees my life has
moved
Born far down South where
gold was the groove
To the North East, and the
greatest City ever to behold
Now the Middle
East where nobody knows what will unfold
Raised in a Land of Make Believe where colonial mores were
grand
Dallied in Europe and found my love in Monza Autodromo’s sands
Oh New York City, you broke me, made me up and
forged me again
This City of magnificence
where true Liberty of Soul maintains
My mind of Liberty designed by Rand
Reason the absolute;
algebraic, humanistic, a colossus stands
Alas the world rejects the
mind of Aristotle as Plato resides as god
Suffer Mankind, scrape the
blood off the sidewalk - see it in the mud
Why these moves and
changes to live constantly among strangers?
Restless minds breed
restless souls and urge constant changes
To learn, to understand
this world and how it reacts to challenges
But, why? ‘Twas Time!
