Yes, Mind
The mind,
our curious curio that binds
Do you
mind or never mind, it’s all confined
Yet thru’
actions our minds reach all kinds
To think
is the exercise that stretches our mental lines
Not
automatic but required to be taught like mathematics
For logic
allows us to distinguish reality from magic
Your mind
grasping rationality instead of gasping like an asthmatic
Emotions
that sway happy, confuse or torture are all mind gymnastics
Careful
at who you smile they could be emotional lunatics
Walk around
and see the deliberate lunacy clinging like tics
But fear
too grips minds, for changing or shifting can be heavy lifting
Regardless
of reality, sanity is often viewed as profanity
Cognitive
dissonance is a dance that can lead to a plunge off a cliff
Nothing
as sclerotic as a mind regardless that will not shift
Is this
you, or me or all of us that sometimes decree?
A human
mistake that can lead to regret and the banishment of glee
