When Good
Rhythms
Feel the
dratted slide as it sidles up beside
Rhythms
of the intellectual, emotional and physical we ride
Nothing’s
a perennial straight line but curves are forever
They take
you high and kick you low on a tether
For
there’s no escape other than maybe Vermouth
And
that’s only imaginary with a headache uncouth
Yesterday
was chipper and you sailed from roof to roof
You were
a powerhouse of positivity and knew all truth
But now
melancholy has come to stay, wrecking the day
Irritation
to hatred on what was happy way
Mistakes
and puzzlement make work a fray
Your
bio-rhythms have crashed into Human
Bay
Dragging
thru’ the mud now dredging your life
Desperately
searching feeling sanity’s on the edge of a knife
Good
rhythms gone bad is a bromide so trite
This
limbo in life’s the dance until once more good’s light
