Yes means No
That utterance is a curse
that is berserk
When cowardice sweeps
through with a smirk
A lie of betrayal to
oneself, the most hurtful
For you say aye but mean
nay
Villain by day and at
night you pray
Why this is done, is an
age old conundrum
Makes one wonder about
turning to rum
Annoying is always a yes
meaning no
The asker wants honesty not
a phony warm glow
Embrace your wishes
without dishing out air kisses
Or the smile at you will
frown and shout profane at being dissed
Better to watch a quick
tear than trigger a sad face list
So wonder who you are when
you lie to the next open face
Ultimately the lines on
your face will score for deception or grace
Crooked down with mouth
twisted in a snarl of deceit
Happy up in a face warm
with a smile all want to meet
